Weather or Not™ Mahogany Swings

You'll discover our mahogany Weather...or Not™ swings can be as beautiful inside your home as outside on your porch or terrace.  This is a swing that's furniture, solid mahogany finished with multiple coats of stain or paint and clear-coat, hand-rubbed between coats so they withstand the elements far better than an ordinary swing.  

This is a swing that will fit in anywhere there's a nice view and people to enjoy.  It's ideal for your den, patio, veranda....or a second home in a scenic locale where you love to relax.  You can hang it indoors or out as the seasons change, or send it on to your other home.  Wherever you live, this swing will let you enjoy your favorite views and friends even more, and year-round.

The unique feature of the Weather...or Not™ Swing, which has a patent pending, is the swing back sits on a concealed hub that allows it to be tilted back and forth and also lifted out.   

    
That means you can enjoy the view...being with your family and friends...or taking a nap...maybe

The mahogany Weather...or Not™ swings come in four distinct back styles designed by Becky Irvine which are based on traditional furniture styles.  She loves Duke Ellington's music so as a tribute to him each is named for an Ellington song.  


YOUR OPTIONS

Camelback:

The standard Weather...or Not™ Swing has a horizontal top rail, as shown on the "Sophisticated Lady" and "Take It Easy"  swings.  If you prefer a gentle arch, like "Don't Mean a Thing" or "Take The 'A' Train," that’s our Camelback style, and it's an additional $50.

Stain/Paint Choices:

Mahogany, clearcoat, black, white, orange and green


BUT, WHAT IF...

Since each Weather...or Not™ Swing is made to order, we can customize it to suit you. We can make it almost any size or color--Anything but ordinary.  We don't have ordinary.  


Just the Right Size: 

The standard Weather...or Not™ Swing is 60" long,  30" wide and 36" high and weighs in at 96 lbs.  (1.5 m x 0.76 m x 0.91 m and 43.5 kg.)  If a swing that size is not going to look just right, just use the Get in Touch button at the top of the page to let us know what size would fit and we'll give let you know what it will cost.

 

Hand-Carved Backs

The camelback style is perfect for carving an image to make your swing one of a kind.  It's done by a Kentucky artist who excels in this kind of craftsmanship, and result can be a swing that's the perfect gift for a friend or someone you love, or for an exceptional employee who's retiring or someone who's moving into a new home.     Hand carving also adds a special touch if the swing will be at the shore, on a lake, near a golf course.



Hand-carved swings also can be a wonderful fundraiser.  This one is in a new home raffled off to raise money for the Korsair's Childrens Hospital in Louisville.




 Single-View Swing

If you’re up against a wall—literally or figuratively—we can build your Weather...or Not™ swing with a back that doesn't tilt, but still lifts out so the swing becomes a bed.  But it will be mahogany with the furniture style you select and its finish of fine furniture so your swing still will be special. 



Fancy Feet 

If there is no way to hang the swing where you’d like it to be, we can add mahogany legs that match the furniture style.  That's a good way to continue using it indoors and enjoy all of the unique features of the Weather...or Not™ Swing. 

   

 


ORDERING YOUR SWING

The standard  Weather...Or Not™ Swing will be solid mahogany with the back design you select from those below.  It will have a mahogany stain and hand-rubbed clear-coat finish or painted the color you have selected.

When you place your order, you will be provided with a detailed confirmation and the approximate delivery date.  Work on your Weather...or Not™ Swing will be scheduled as soon as your initial payment is received, and we will contact you and provide a breakdown of all costs, including taxes and shipping, when it's ready to be delivered.
